When would you chose printed vinyl over cut vinyl?
While colored cut vinyl may be more economical, it has some downsides. The first being is it’s manufactured color by the vender. If you are content with the colors they release you will be fine, but if you are trying to get an exact match to your branding colors you will probably be out of luck. The next thing you would need to determine is the size of your design or how much it covers. If you have 50% or more of your Truck using cut vinyl for logos and text it may not save you money because of the extra production time involved. Additionally, it will leave ghosting on your vehicle. While a wrap can protect your paint from the elements and prolong it’s sheen, using cut vinyl only protects the paint where it is laid. When you are ready to remove your graphics there will still be a visible outline on the vehicle from where sun damage and acid rain has wore down the paint. Sometimes a full wrap is a better overall paint protection option.
